This photograph was taken by a high-altitude Ilford Instamatic camera from a height of approximately 1200mm above the recreation ground in Woodbridge Suffolk. The resolution of the original colour photo was enhanced and the boat was clipped from its background of close mown grass and pasted onto a view of the sea from the cliffs at Whitby. The edges of the two images were then blended before converting the picture to greyscale to overcome the discrepancy in the palettes of the two pictures.
