This linocut was done on old heavy duty lino which had been used to line shelves. I printed it using undiluted acrylic artists colour instead of the usual spirit-based ink; the moisture in it tended to buckle the paper. After scanning the picture in I managed to eliminate the unevenness by reducing the number of colours to two, one for the ink and the other for the paper.
