Early morning mist

A view from the "old men's park" in Castleton, in the heart of the North York Moors, taken just after sunrise on a beautiful early August morning.
The "park" is a three hundred square metre patch of sheep-grazed grass at the bottom end of the village with a view up the main street in one direction and across the valley to the moors in the other.
It was given to the village in 1932 by the Punch family as a place for the old folk of the village to sit and watch the world go by. As the three benches could not seat everyone, many used to bring their own chairs from home.
